Great point, Glen! I have thought about those verses before and realized he left that way for our benefit, Jesus doesn't have to travel, wait, etc. He is eternal and not bound by any sort of earthly limitations, but he chose to do that for those who would put their faith in him.

Amen. Reminds me of Acts 1, v7-11. Specifically v10-11. 10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; 11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven. The more I thought about those two verses, it was proof that it wasn't just his chosen disciples who knew of him and were making things up. Two 'outsiders' said essentially, "Hey, did you see how he left? Well, that's the way he's coming back.". Thanks for your words of wisdom. GC
